We've been walking around Yr Eifl and on the slopes of the little mountaon on the Llyn Peninsula whilst the British Downhill Series for mountain biking is on. It's been crazy seeing so many people get involved in what is usually a very quiet part of the world.
The top photograph is from the British Downhill Series Round 1 at Nant Gwrtheyrn and the rest of the photos are from past training events held by Simply Downhill and Antur Stiniog uplift.
What a great morning! I had full waterproofs ready to don this morning after the past few days of torrential rain, heavy winds and cloudy landscapes.
Instead me and Otter were greeted by sporadic clouds and the odd bit of sunshine as we clambered around the cliff faces of Nant Gwrtheyrn and Yr Eifl on the Llyn Peninsula to photograph downhill mountainbikers at the Nant Gwrtheyrn, Simple Downhill tracks.
At the moment Antur Stiniog are doing the uplifts to the top of these single and double black downhill mountain bike trails.
Below are a couple of landscape inspired photographs with downhill mountainbikers amidst the foreground. Missed out on a few angles I had noted down yesterday to try, but having Otter with me meant we had to keep our distance, it was more than worth it! I really like how these came out and can't wait to get back out again when the cyclists are there flying down the valley again.
